Arrest warrants issued for Sindh education sec Fazlullah Pechuho
KARACHI: An anti-corruption court in Karachi issued arrest warrants for Secretary Education & Literacy Sindh, Dr Fazlullah Pechuho Friday for not appearing before the court in a case pertaining to corruption and misuse of authority in his department.
Headmaster Mohammad Mithal had filed a plea against Pechuho at the anti-corruption court. However, failing to appear in person and responding to several written notices, the court issued warrants for the Sindh secretary’s arrest today.
Meanwahile, Dr Fazlullah Pechuho has said that he was not aware any such warrants, adding that he was ready to appear before the court if he was ordered to do so.
It may be mentioned that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had initiated crackdown in the Sindh education department upon evidence of huge financial misappropriation.
