5.8-magnitude quake shakes parts of Punjab, KPK   ISLAMABAD: About 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck several parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday, creating panic among the masses.
Seismological centre has recorded magnitude of the quake at 5.8 on the Richter scale.
Tremors were felt in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Lower Dir, Sargodha, Abbottabad, Chitral, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Khyber Agency, Bajaur Agency, Waziristan, Swabi and others.
The epicentre of 5.8-magnitude quake was Handukush and its depth was 175 kilometers.
Chief Minister KPK, Pervaiz Khattak was addressing a ceremony in Peshawar at the time of quake.
