Two target killers among 17 arrested in Karachi

KARACHI: Karachi police claimed to have apprehended 17 suspects including two target killers and a robber in different raids during the last 24 hours.
On a tip-off, police conducted a raid at the Kalakot area and arrested two alleged target killers whose identity was not disclosed. The police also claimed to have recovered weapons from their possession.
Separately, the local police conducted different raids in Baldia Town and arrested 14 alleged drug peddlers.
Meanwhile, residents of Golimaar Chorangi caught a robber after foiling a robbery bid, pounced and assaulted him before handing him over to police.
According to the local, three accomplices of the robber fled the scene after a large number of people gathered there.
Police have registered cases and started investigations.
