Nawaz telephones Modi, assures support in Pathankot attack probe   ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday called his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and assured Pakistan’s assistance in the probe in terrorist attack on Pathankot airbase, in which seven security men were killed and more than 20 injured.
According to Indian media, both the leaders also discussed situation arising out of the terrorist attack on a heavily-fortified Indian military airbase.
Earlier, Indian National Security Advisor contacted his Pakistani counterpart Gen. (Retd) Nasir Janjua and welcomed Pakistan’s statement in which it had condemned attack on the airbase.
Meanwhile, Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said on Tuesday that six militants who attacked the airbase have been confirmed killed.
However, he added that that a four-day-old operation to secure the compound was still under way.
