Lawmakers want Pak-India ‘understanding’ discussed in NAISLAMABAD: Opposition parties and Moulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Thursday demanded of the government to take the National Assembly into confidence over what bilateral matters were agreed upon between Pakistan and India on the sidelines of ‘Heart of Asia conference’.
Federal Minister Riaz Pirzada said restoration of cricket ties between Pakistan and India is the litmus test of the bilateral dialogues.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member of National Assembly Shireen Mazari asked the government to brief the legislature over the outcome of meeting between Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and also the matters discussed during ‘Heart of Asia Conference’.
Another PTI lawmaker Shafqat Mehmood said the intentions of India need to be monitored as visiting Indian Minister didn't say a single word on Pakistan-India cricket series despite promising it earlier.
