Let’s see whether MQM backs Rangers’ powers: Sindh CMKHAIRPUR/LARKANA: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the Rangers “are with us, and they will remain with us in the future as well” and that the tendency to create a controversy over the matter of granting extension to their powers should be avoided.
He said that a resolution in this regard will be presented before the Sindh Assembly on Monday (today).
“We’ll see whether the MQM supports the Rangers’ powers or not,” the chief minister said.
He said that it was unfortunate that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar overlooked the sacrifices rendered by the police in Sindh during the Karachi operation. He said it was also wrong to talk about bringing a video and saving one person.
