ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued directives for voters in the third phase of Local Bodies (LB) elections in Sindh and Punjab, scheduled on December 05.
According to the ECP directives, original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is must for casting vote. Driving licence, office card and copy of the CNIC would not be acceptable, however, voter with expired CNIC would be allowed to cast his/her vote.
Carrying mobile phone in the polling station is strictly prohibited, the electoral body said.
Voters will be issued three and two ballot papers in Sindh and Punjab respectively.
The polling will begin at 7:30 am and will continue till 5:30 pm without any break.
Twelve districts of Punjab include: Layyah, Rajanpur, D.G. Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rawalpindi, Jhang, Khushab, Multan, Sialkot, Narowal, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur.
In Sindh, the local polls will be held in Karachi West, Karachi East, Karachi South, Karachi Central, Korangi and Malir.
